Vivo IPL 14th season is all the way to start from April 9th, 2021 which is going to be held in six venues Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata. Players from diverse nations and diverse states participate in this IPL. IPL consists of 8 teams representing 8 different cities i.e. Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Punjab Kings are the teams that are owned by the franchise.
As a tradition, 2020 season winners Mumbai Indians will be openers of IPL 2021. IPL 2021 first match will begin between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai. Led by Rohit Sharma, Mumbai Indians are one of the most victorious teams in IPL tournament history by acquiring 4 titles. They also have a pack of young and exciting cricketers. Power hit players like Rohit Sharma, Quinton de Kock, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Chris Lynn are present. A solid core of players is present in the Mumbai Indians team.
Royal Challengers Bangalore is one of the teams whose performance has been highly erratic. The team is led by Indian National Cricket team Captain Virat Kohli and comprises some of the best players from around the world. RCB has 7 to 8 core players who can hit the match this year. RCB has strong mainstays Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. The Royal Challengers have also added the shape of all-rounder Glenn Maxwell and pacer Kylie Jamieson.
MI and RCB have played 29 matches against each other. The Mumbai side holds a big advantage of winning with 19 matches while RCB won 10 matches. While this could be a highly intimidating statistic, in a sport like a cricket, it could be highly motivating, especially since the confidence boost of any team after beating the victors of the previous season would be off the charts.
